General Motors has named Morley as one of its top global suppliers of 2022 by presenting it with an Overdrive Award. The announcement was recently made as part of GM’s 31st annual Supplier of the Year award ceremony in San Antonio, Texas. This is Morley’s third time receiving the Overdrive Award.
Of GM’s approximate 27,000 suppliers worldwide, Morley is one of only 16 to receive an Overdrive Award, the top recognition of performance. In total, 121 suppliers were recognized at the event, collectively representing 17 countries.
The Overdrive Award is a distinction reserved for suppliers who display outstanding achievement across the Global Purchasing and Supply Chain organization’s key priorities. They include sustainability, innovation, relationships, total enterprise cost, launch excellence and safety.
“Our partnership with General Motors spans over a century, and it is something that we hold in high regard,” said Paul Furlo, Morley’s president and CEO. “It is a true honor to be recognized with an Overdrive Award, and we humbly believe it is a testament of our team’s dedication to delivering extraordinary service at every level.”
“We are thrilled to recognize these outstanding suppliers after yet another challenging year in the automotive industry,” said Jeff Morrison, GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “They overcame countless obstacles and exemplified what it means to be resilient, resourceful and determined. Beyond that, these suppliers demonstrated their commitment to sustainable innovation and to driving advanced solutions in collaboration with the GM team.”
